Mixed Fleet Telematics (Vehicles + Machines)
Define how vans, trucks, machines and mobile assets can feed the agreed operating view without forcing every unit into the same hardware configuration.
Looking for the full guide? Vehicle tracking systems covers the device, connectivity and platform layers, and routes you to the right page for each asset type in a mixed fleet.
One operating view, when the data path allows it
Mixed operations often run vans, trucks and plant machinery together. A common view requires each selected device, protocol and data field to be supported by the receiving platform.
Different power, same data
Vehicles, battery assets and wired plant report differently. Field names, units, events and reporting intervals need to be mapped before the records can be compared consistently.
Why businesses come to us
We compare available hardware paths against the operating requirement and check which protocol and fields the existing or selected platform can accept.
Hardware that fits mixed assets
Mixed fleets need different hardware paths. Compare the C003F for compatible powered road-vehicle tracking; the A300 where a wired CAN/J1939 or industrial interface is required; the A700 for a stable 9–90V outdoor installation; and the GT76 where no fixed power is available. Confirm the exact model and variant, modem bands, voltage, interface, reporting behaviour and receiving-platform fields before selection.
Map the data fields before comparing
Location, operating hours, fuel, temperature and door state must use the same field names and units before records can sit in one view. We check protocol and server fields against the receiving platform.
Certification per market
CE, FCC, RoHS and similar marks differ by destination. We document what each supplier can evidence and confirm the applicable marks at order time.

Start with the operation, then verify the hardware path.
We support fleet and equipment operators as well as telematics providers, integrators, installers and distributors. The work is to define requirements, compare available evidence, coordinate samples and check the data path before a wider decision.
Define the working requirement
Document the vehicles, equipment or assets, installation conditions, required signals and receiving platform before comparing models.
Compare evidence and samples
Review supplier documents, available interfaces and sample output. Anything not supplied remains an open item rather than an assumed capability.
Coordinate the data path
Confirm the protocol, fields, accessories, server settings and installation details required by the selected project.
Tell us the operation and the open questions.
We will reply with the checks still needed and an initial hardware direction.
